Kandis Larson, artist and owner of Kandis Created, said he never took an art class. Although she had no previous painting experience, she did many other arts over the years, such as leatherworking and basketry, and even built her own hut. I started painting some time ago and haven’t stopped since.
“At first, I didn’t see myself as an artist,” Larson said. “I thought you had to do certain things to be an artist or paint, just like you had to paint a landscape or be a painter. I didn’t fit into any of them.”
She began attending farmers markets and art shows, selling her hand-drawn designs onto cards and other paper products. One day she decided to turn her own drawings into stickers and was shocked by her response. She starts with 10 designs and continuously adds more stickers from there. created the design of Stickers As her business grew, she gave up paper products and devoted herself entirely to stickers.
Larson said he has started pitching and selling his stickers to some local businesses outside of the weekend market. As more stores sell her stickers, she said her business owners love the hand-painted designs, which she says stand out from what’s already in stores.

When the pandemic hit and changed her life, she decided to put her life on the road, living a full-time life in a van and selling stickers to stores nationwide.
“It’s the only thing I did last year,” Kandice said. “I live and travel in my van. My stickers are now in eight states and many stores. I am very blessed and have been very successful so far.”
Larson said her stickers are now sold in 130 stores nationwide, including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Nebraska and Hawaii. She continues to grow her business as she travels and she personally visits every store and speaks with the business her owner.
Kandis Created stickers are currently in use at 18 Utah stores, from Spanish Fork to St. George. Larson, who is from Spokane, Washington, lived all over Utah before living in a van, and said he loved the entire state.
“I think Utah is one of the coolest states,” she said. “Being in the desert. I love deserts, but I love lakes and mountains as well.”
As she enjoys living on the go, Larson is currently in Colorado and continues to travel throughout the western United States. I said that I will go to places where there are tourists because I will buy products.
“I’m going to roll with the stickers,” Larson said. “As long as people are buying stickers, that’s what I’m going to do.”
Larson says he frequently receives messages on social media asking how he got to where he is today. She is happy to tell her own story and share with others the tips and tricks that have led to her success.
In her experience, Larson says the first two things it takes to run a small business are confidence and quality products, offering “the best sticker you can have” when it comes to quality and design. He said he would.
