For fashion lovers, September is packed with industry events to watch. First, it was New York Fashion Week that officially ended last week. The Council of Fashion Designers of America then announced the line-up of nominees and winners for the awards ceremony. (The actual event will take place at his Casa He Cipriani in NYC on November 7th.) This year, the list of nominees for partnership with Amazon Fashion for the 2022 CFDA Fashion Awards includes Christopher John Rodgers, Laquan Smith, and Telfer. Celebrities such as Clemens are included. All are pushing the industry forward.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, a ceremony will be co-hosted by CFDA members Joseph Altuzarra, Gabriela Hirst, Aurora James, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough. Additionally, the council has added his one-time special commemorative award to his Jeffrey Banks, designer and longtime CFDA member of his. As far as new titles go, the committee also introduced a stylist award, making Law Roach (who has worked with Zendaya, Kerry Washington, Emma Watson, etc.) the first winner. received a posthumous Board Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to fashion. And, of course, the Board will also award regular category awards for womenswear, menswear, accessories and emerging designers.
Clemens, 2020 American Accessory Designer of the Year When In 2021, we are winning the same award this year. Aurora James, founder of Brother Vellies and 15 Percent Pledge, joins the creators of the so-called “Telfeezy” in the accessories category. Meanwhile, designers like Khaite’s Katherine Holstein, Peter Doe, Gabriella Hirst and Christopher John Rogers are all shortlisted for the American Womenswear Designer of the Year award for the second year in a row. (Rogers said he won the coveted award in 2021.)
