Springfield, Vermont – Gallery at the VAULT is pleased to present Echoes of Light and Beauty, an exhibition of works by PSA Master and IAPS Master Circle Robert Carsten, which runs until September 14th. There are several styles and sizes that go well together. Robert captures the essence of the natural world around us in its beauty and light.
Creative from an early age, Robert studied at the Art Students League in New York. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design. And the Accademia di Bel Arti in Italy. A longtime art instructor, he has taught classes and workshops locally, nationally and internationally in Europe and China.
He writes about art and artists for several national art magazines. A popular juror of art exhibitions, he recently joined the jury for the IAPS Pastel World International Exhibition in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“I have always had a broad interest in visual arts,” says Robert. “I work in a variety of media and use a variety of approaches and techniques. Realism, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, and Abstraction are all of interest as representational methods I use to interpret a variety of subjects. Most of the art in this exhibition was created during the pandemic, and some of it is a demonstration of a Zoom class I continue to teach.”
Robert has lived in Springfield for many years with his artist wife, Lynette, and their cats.
