Shania Twain’s music is compelling, but her fashion completes the story.
Celebrated at Tuesday’s ACM Honors event airing on FOX, Twain spoke to Fox News Digital about why fashion is so important to her.
“I think fashion is part of what the song represents,” Twain told Fox News Digital.
“Songwriting is the backbone and skeleton of everything, performance, stage, video, fashion, all behind the aesthetics, and really at the forefront of everything that expresses and presents music,” she added. rice field.

Twain donned two outfits to appear on the ACM Honors. She started the evening in a beautiful black gown with a leopard print cowboy hat and matching boots.
She later changed into a gold gown with a gold choker neckline to receive the award.
Twain was honored by Avril Lavigne, Kelsea Ballerini, and Tierra Kennedy at the awards ceremony, which airs tonight. Each performer sang her star’s music catalog of country music and paid tribute to Twain through fashion.
Ballerini wore the same dress worn by Twain at the 1999 Grammy Awards. The all-white gown features long sleeves and a high neckline. Twain won two Grammy Awards wearing this gown. One for Best Female Country Vocal Her Performance and one for her Best Country Song.
“I’m so touched,” Twain told Entertainment Weekly on the red carpet. It was so flattering to look at and she even wanted to wear it.”
Lavigne also paid tribute to Twain with an ACM Honors outfit. The Canadian singer wore a leopard print outfit, a nod to Twain’s outfit in her “That Don’t Impress Me Much” music video.
Speaking at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Lavigne told Fox News Digital: When she was 14, she sang on stage with her. She won a contest through a local radio station for her to sing with her. Of course it was very helpful and talked about all around me. ”
“I think it’s so cool that she does that for a young artist,” Lavigne said. I’m a writer and a Canadian who kicks ass.”
Twain has won the Poet Prize. According to the Academy of Country Music, “This award honors her musical and/or lyrical contributions throughout her career, with particular consideration for the impact of one or more of her songs on country music culture. It goes to country music songwriters.” .

Twain reacted to the award on Twitter.
“It’s been a bumpy road. I put my chin up, developed some tough skin and got through it!! A night out at the historic Ryman Auditorium surrounded by friends, fellow songwriters and beautiful fans.” What a great night it was,” Twain wrote after filming the awards ceremony.
“Winning the @ACMawards Poet Award is a dream come true,” she added. “But I was able to spend the night with so many friends who inspired me and added a sassy woman(!!) that made it even more dreamy!!”
Twain focused on sharing her wisdom with young songwriters, focusing on women just starting out in the country music industry.
“In tonight’s very long speech, I talked about how advice for young songwriters, especially women who are just starting out, should really expect to be rejected.
“It’s part of the journey, and you have to accept that there are other people, other writers, other artists who are stronger and better than you. You have to accept it, it’s nothing… to be discouraged.”
