Seguin A relatively new name in the drum and bass scene. Songs like his “Champion” and “Attack Order” drop so much of his action audio you’d expect from an artist in this genre. But the Los Angeles producer has dropped a new single from DnB, “In Your Arms,” offering his voice-filled halftime anthem in its place.
“In Your Arms” opens with flashy synths and singing reminiscent of Imogen Heap’s vocal style. Soft, breathtaking and enchanting. As the drums build momentum and reach the drop, we’re met with a slower climax than most Seguin fans are accustomed to. But shimmering synths and a dangerous bassline combine this euphoric energy with a hard kick drum pattern. This gives “In Your Arms” plenty of exhilarating elements that make you want to dance to a beautiful beat.
For an artist whose career has been built around the growing American drum and bass boom, this is an impressive sound. In his third year as a producer, he entered the dubstep/future bass sound, Illenium When seven lions (The former was also remixed by him). “”In Your Arms is for scratching that itch you didn’t know was there,” said Segan. “[The song] It embodies where the Segan project is headed”
If that’s true, we can’t wait to hear more! In the meantime, be sure to check out Segan’s “In Your Arms.”
