The Santa Barbara Vintners Festival will be celebrating its 38th anniversary on Saturday, October 8, from 1-4pm at Solvang’s Old Mission Santa Innes. The first wine festival in Santa Barbara County, Vintners Festival features more than 70 wineries and gourmet cuisine from 30 regional chefs, restaurants and food producers.
Visitors can meet winemakers and winery owners and learn first-hand why Santa Barbara County was named 2021 Wine Region of the Year by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. The Bank of Marine Bubble Lounge features live music, cooking and viticulture demonstrations, and samples of some of the best sparkling wines in the region.
A $125 early entry ticket grants access to the festival at noon, one hour before general admission ($95), and allows for a more personal interaction with the winemakers, owners and chefs.
Located in downtown Solvang, the festival offers on-site parking, but attendees are encouraged to walk, carpool, use local rideshare options, or take the train.
“Santa Barbara Wine Country is recognized internationally as Wine Region of the Year because it produces globally competitive wines from one of the most diverse growing regions in the world. The education, experience, passion and wisdom that our makers put into every bottle sets us apart,” said Alison Laslett, CEO of the Santa Barbara Vintners Association, which has hosted the Vintners Festival since its inception. .

Discounted local tickets are $75 and are for those whose primary residence is in Santa Barbara County and who live and work in the wine region. These tickets are available to her first 250 purchasers. No-drink tickets are $25 and are intended for non-drinkers, the designated driver, and/or children aged 6 to her 20. Children under the age of 6 enter for free.
