Mesquite has approved a 235-acre development that will yield approximately 180,000 square feet of retail and business space and approximately 3.2 million square feet of industrial, business and logistics space.
City officials expect development to begin in early 2024.

According to Mesquite, the retail and industrial development features modern design with high-quality building materials and is surrounded by 3,900 new homes in a highly desirable area of Solterra.
These sites also include redevelopment of major roads, new sewer and water connections, and add jobs to the area for new residents.
The city said the location includes aspects such as highway visibility and access to the 1,500 miles of interstate highway that connects Mesquite to Shreveport, Louisiana. Jackson, Mississippi. Atlanta, Georgia; and Columbia, South Carolina.
