Detroit (FOX 2) – Detroit’s business scene is booming. Moving into the Libernoy/Six Mile/McNichols business districts Downtown and Midtown, also known as Live6, it’s looking to grab some attention.
“This is truly a great commercial corridor and crossroads of the region that is coming to life again,” said Dr. Geneva Williams.
Detroit Pizza Bar, which had its grand opening earlier this year, is one of several successful businesses in Six Mile.

Live6’s progress is not just limited to retail, but also to housing, including new developments where all units are designated affordable rents.
George N’Namdi, Managing Partner of Sawyer Art Apartments, said:
The City of Detroit’s Strategic Neighborhood Fund helps provide an economic boost to these business districts through its nonprofit and private sector partners.
