The Truman in downtown Kansas City turns into a spooky runway on Thursday night.Kansas City Fashion is hosting its second annual Halloween fashion show featuring over 50 local models.
Runway superstars come dressed in their best Halloween costumes. At last year’s event, Buzz Lightyear and his friends Woody, Coraline, Christina Aguilera, Katniss Everdeen, and Andy Reid walked down the aisle.
The show starts at 7:30pm and tickets can be purchased here. General admission is $29, VIP area is $200 and includes a reserved VIP lounge, four drink tickets, behind-the-scenes access, and professional photography.
Performances by artists Joey Cool, Broderick Jones and unannounced special guests will highlight the night. While not a performer, last year’s event featured a surprise appearance by Sporting KC forward Johnny Russell.
The fashion show has partnered with Fashion Honors Autism, a Lenexa non-profit organization, to offer sensory workshops that address issues children on the autism spectrum may have.
A portion of event revenue and donations will be donated to non-profit organizations. Fashion Honors Autism founder Joshua Bolden hopes to use his earnings to make an impact in the autism community on a national scale.
In an Instagram video, Bolden said, “I’m very excited to partner with Kansas City Fashion once again by hosting a biennial Halloween fashion show for children with autism.
