Indonesia will host a three-day international Muslim lifestyle fair focusing on Islamic products and services from August 26th to August 28th.
Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Indonesia International Muslim Lifestyle Trade Expo in Tangerang aims to connect the world with the Indonesian Islamic community.
Wini Adam, spokesperson for show organizer Lima Events, said in a statement that the expo is a business matching and business-to-business exhibition.
She said it would attract tens of thousands of offline visitors and millions of online viewers from various countries.
She said the expo will cover eight major sectors. Halal Food and Beverages; Halal Cosmetics, Medicines and Herbs; Halal Travel and Destinations.
Others are: Islamic finance and banking. halal media and recreation; understated fashion; Islamic Education, Books and Publishing; Sharia Property and Infrastructure.
The Nigerian News Agency (NAN) reports that Indonesia has a Muslim population of 229 million (about 87.2% of the total population of 255 million), making it the most populous Muslim-majority country in the world. I am reporting.
Estimates by the State of the Global Islamic Economy (SGIE) Report 2022 show that the world’s 1.9 billion Muslims spent the equivalent of US$2 trillion in 202.
This amount was spent in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, fashion, travel and media/recreation sectors, which are influenced by the needs of ethical consumption inspired by Islamic faith.
According to Adam, the three-day expo will include workshops, product presentations, business meetings, plantations, visits to the center of Islamic economic development and Indonesia’s halal industry sector.
“Covering an indoor area of over 4,800 square meters, the exhibition will be attended by over 100 domestic and international exhibitors and over 50,000 trade visitors and consumers,” she added.
She said the fair is Indonesia’s largest business-to-business exhibition of the Islamic & Halal industry, organized jointly with the Indonesian Islamic Business & Entrepreneurship Community (KPMI).
“A series of business matchings in which halal industry players from different Muslim countries, especially OIC member countries, network and develop economic and trade partnerships.
“The expo also provides an opportunity for investors who want to invest their funds in the halal industry sector and Shariah finance to meet with fund managers and financial institutions from the Islamic world,” she added. (South)
