A new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro specs leak hints at Samsung’s next wireless earbuds with advanced ‘intelligent’ noise-cancelling tech.
Report by the German press win future (via sam mobile) claims that the successor to the Galaxy Bud Pro will “significantly reduce ambient noise by 33dB when the feature is enabled.”
The leak is said to have come from “official marketing images and technical details,” so it sounds legit. It’s going to be.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro lean toward a revised design, 10mm drivers, and “studio-quality” sound. The latter is said to include his 360 Audio, Samsung’s answer to Apple’s spatial audio, and HD Voice for clearer calls.
A leak follows to reveal that the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are IPX7 water resistant. That means it can survive up to 1m of freshwater for 30 minutes.
Battery life improvements are also said to be minimal. Apparently, the new buds can last a total of 29 hours. That’s an hour longer than the current Tsubomi Pro. You can expect 55 minutes of playback after 5 minutes of charging.
The new buds are believed to be some of the first products in the world to support Bluetooth 5.3, which promises a stronger signal and smoother streaming experience.
Samsung’s attempts to create a solid rival to the Apple AirPods Pro have either gone awry or often disappointed in the sound department. Has the tech giant finally cracked it this time?
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will be announced at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, August 10 at 2pm BST/9am ET/6pm AEST. teeth? Rumored to be 229 euros (around £200 / $240 / AU$350).
