Former German U21 striker Lansford Jeboa Konigsdorfer has revealed why he chose to represent Ghana at international level.
The 20-year-old forward switched nationalities to play at the senior level for Ghana in June.
According to the Hamburg forward, his decision to play in Ghana was influenced by his father, and his chances of playing international football in the African country were easier.

“My father is from Ghana. He will be very proud of me when I can play for my country. Plus, it’s probably easier to be a national team player in Ghana.” He told the German news station Bild.

Having scored twice in the DFB Cup against Bayreuth last weekend, Lansford-Jerboer Königsdorfer are off to a good start in Hamburg.
The young attacker joined Hamburg from Bundesliga III side Dynamo Dresden in the summer transfer window.
Kinigsdorfer After receiving his Ghanaian passport, he could make his debut for the four-time African Champion in September.
“I would love to play for Ghana. I met Otto Addo last December before he became the national coach. We have been in close contact since then. I have already taken care of my Ghanaian passport and hopefully I will be able to attend the next international competition in September,” the striker added.
The Berlin-born striker played for Hertha Berlin before joining Dynamo Dresden.
