Beauty product recommendations from those who know best.
There are so many great beauty products on the Australian market that it can be difficult to tell the good from the bad. Few people have the financial means to find the value in or see which products will finish a night out without the mess.
We like nosy people.don’t be shy, come to us beauty See section for details.
We asked those who know best to find out what they hold among industry professionals. We share our hardest working products, down to facial oils.

I always pick up Chanel Baume Essential ‘Golden Light’ to create a gorgeous healthy glow. I like the warm shade, which is not too sticky and even for pale skin. It’s a gentle shade.
Ere Perez Moringa All-Beauty Crème works perfectly under makeup. No lie. This is a craft peanut butter moisturizer. Everyone I use it comments on how refreshing and moisturizing it feels. if it is worn or rough.
Surratt Beauty Surr Skin Concealer makes your skin look so beautiful and so natural. Again, it’s magic because it’s oil-free, but it works wonders on the delicate areas of the face (like around the eyes and lips) without makeup. You need a range of shades.

The Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer has been a staple in my kit for over 7 years. A gel lotion that hydrates, moisturizes, and prepares skin for seamless foundation application. It is suitable for all skin types and is my holy grail primer.
Mac Cosmetics Studio Radiance Face and Body Foundation is an old fashioned product, but a great one. A translucent yet layerable foundation that gives skin a radiant, natural finish. It’s the queen of diversity. You can use this foundation on its own or mix it with another foundation for an effortless glow. With 29 shades available, finding the perfect match won’t be difficult.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible More Than Concealer is not only a kit favorite, it’s the longest running in my personal makeup collection. This buttery, full-coverage concealer covers dark circles and uneven skin tone while providing a natural matte finish that brightens the complexion. My favorite part about this concealer is the price.
Benefit Hula Bronzer is an all-rounder that works as an eyeshadow, bronzer and contour! This is the perfect product to bring back the volume and glow to your face. Whether you want to make the corners of your eyes stand out or add a pop of color to your cheeks, it’s sure to glide on smoothly like a dream. This hard-working, buildable formula provides a soft, matte finish that won’t leave your skin feeling dry.
Blush is all the rage at the moment, so I couldn’t include the Napoleon Perdis Cheek Switch Cream Blush. The lightweight, silky formula glides onto skin and transforms into a long-wearing matte velvet finish. I can confidently say that I have applied this product to 90% of my clients over the past year and it has restored volume and radiance. All the shades are great, but my favorite is ‘Save The Coral’.
Whether you want to keep your shine down all day long, or you want your makeup to stay in place, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Loose Translucent Powder is a must-have. It does not stand out on the skin, but it holds makeup in place, reduces the appearance of pores, leaves skin with a satin finish, and enhances natural radiance and dimension.
Lanolips 101 Ointment The Original Multi-Purpose Super Balm quickly incorporates into my daily makeup routine and always leaves my lips looking super hydrated. In true multitasking style, you can use this on lips, cuticles, and even sore or cracked nipples (for those who may be breastfeeding). Retaining 200% of her weight in water, this hydration hero needs no headaches.

Maybelline Sky High Mascara is a recent discovery. [and it’s] Best mascara I have ever used. It’s very black, stain resistant, doesn’t clump, is easy to build and has lots of lift. Also, Aleph Concealer and Foundation have been my go-to skin tone products for about 6 months now. I use them for almost everything. They are very kit friendly and can be stripped with the Aleph Primer.
Cheek/Lip Tint in the ‘Grounded’ shade is another Aleph product and has become my favorite earthy nude tone. I use it on my cheeks, lips and around my eyes. It’s a pretty solid product, so I’ve tried mixing different textures like glosses and balms.
Weleda Skin Food is a staple in my total kit. Apply a generous amount of Skin Food to prepare and absorb skin to prepare everyone’s lips. It creates a great highlight through the cheekbones and is the best way to protect your skin from the harsh weather on outdoor shoots.
tom ford face shade and illuminate [a highlighting and shading cream duo] Provides a perfect cool contouring tone with a non-sticky, luminous sheen. Quick and easy to apply and blend. Lastly is the OPI manicure in the “Samoan Sand” shade. It’s the perfect nude… Nail polish is the heaviest thing to carry around, so I try to pick a few shades that suit everyone.

I have an art background and have spent my entire life painting (mainly in oils and acrylics). Makeup is another medium I’ve been obsessed with, so naturally one of her favorite products is Danessa Myrick’s Colorfix.
The formula reminds me of paint. It’s a very versatile product and once dry it’s completely bulletproof.I actually added 4 more colors [of Colorfix] in my kit! They have definitely become a staple.
Another favorite at the moment is Depixym Color Emulsions. The finish is similar to Colorfix, but the drier formula makes it ideal for eyebrows and lashes. Use it in any shade of beige to create the easiest faux-bleached brows.
